What we need:
Are you a skilled and experienced Arboricultural Surveyor looking for an exciting opportunity to work on behalf of local authorities in the vibrant North London region? We are seeking a dedicated professional to assist in the inspection and assessment of trees, contributing to the preservation and maintenance of the urban green spaces in the area.
Position: Arboricultural Surveyor
Location: North London Region
Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension)
What you will do:
As an Arboricultural Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in conducting comprehensive tree surveys and assessments to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of trees alongside the highway. These will be the strategic entry points into London from the surrounding regions. Your expertise will help the local authorities make informed decisions regarding tree management and conservation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct arboricultural surveys and inspections of trees within the North London region.
- Assess tree health, stability, and risk factors to identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate measures.
- Provide expert advice on tree preservation, maintenance, and management strategies.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of survey findings.
- Collaborate with other team members and local authorities to coordinate tree-related projects.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
What you will need:
- CSCS
- Emergency first aid
- Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Arboriculture.
- Possess a valid PTI (Professional Tree Inspection) ticket.
- Access to a chapter 8 compliant vehicle.
- Own company insurances, including public liability and professional indemnity.
- ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone) compliant vehicle preferred due to the location of work in London.
- Proven experience in conducting arboricultural surveys and inspections.
- In-depth knowledge of tree species, diseases, and related regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
