Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our clients team in Kent as a Junior CAD Technician and play a key role in building the business by delivering a range of projects. They are looking for a technically competent Junior CAD Technician with experience of any aspect engineering. 
 
Role 
You will have good knowledge of CAD software and producing CAD drawings / models. The role will be working in project teams to support the Project Manager with design and analysis, you will be given the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects in a multi discipline arena. The company offers great training, coaching and opportunities for your career development, and you will have the opportunity to work alongside high calibre engineers of many disciplines. 
 
 
Essential skills, knowledge and behaviours 
·Preparation of quality CAD models and drawings, using and AutoCAD
·Manage work on a range of projects; ensuring deadlines are met 
·Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment 
·Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines is essential 
·Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills 
·Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) 
·Highly motivated and willing to take on new challenges and possibly go the extra mile to satisfy the client and project demands 
 
Desirable skills, knowledge and behaviours 
·Fully conversant in Bentley MicroStation and Autodesk Civil
·Experience of working with other disciplines which influence infrastructure design such as Civil Structures and Geotechnics 
·Seek to improve existing ways of working by finding efficiencies in processes 
 
Qualifications 
·Qualifications in Engineering, draughting or CAD would be an advantage
